Hands down the best. Don't waste time on other brands.I love a well made object. This feels great in your hands, works well. You know care & attention went into creating this pepper mill.I love that this product is made in USA! Hard to find nice salt grinders that are.I use is for truffle salt - I like buying the coarse flavored salt. Will be buying more in other colors for other salt flavors i use.I love freshly ground pepper, but pepper mills are expensive and I don't like to put the plastic, disposable mills on my dinner table. This one is worth your money and lovely, too. Check out Fletchers' Mill's website to see the many options besides what you'll find here on Amazon, including matching salt mills. The description for this little gem boasts that it is "handcrafted in Maine from the finest New England hardwoods", "combines good looks with modern technology", and so forth. I think we can all agree that it's super-duper important to only use authentic New England hardwoods in our salt delivery systems. I, for one, would never be caught dead with inferior mid-Atlantic hardwoods. (Let alone - - softwoods!) And only troglodytes would use anything less than the very latest technology in their manual salt crystal deployment mechanisms. Now that we've gotten that out of the way, the next most important reason for buying a salt shaker is its looks. In my case, I wanted something that looks nice in a modern kitchen. I liked the photo of this product, and was pleasantly surprised to find that it looks even better in person. It has a nice finish, and doesn't look or feel cheap or plastic-y in the hand. And all my salt crystals are now delivered with the utmost precision. We have purchased other pepper grinders in the past. Hubby loves fresh cracked black pepper and through the years, we have have gone through several. This is the first one that he said he really liked. You can feel the quality. I love the sleek design. It is simple to fill and the only regret is that we purchased the smaller size. We will be purchasing the larger size too.We don’t use salt very often in our cooking, but we wanted to have a nice salt mill for when we do - and for guests shoukd they want salt. The small size of this model fit that bill perfectly. The aesthetic of the mill is simple and beautiful; the natural beauty of the wood really shines. The only concern I have is that the workings are of a plastic - while it looks to be a solid and firm type, only time will tell its durability. The ability to change courseness is an added bonus; that it’s made in Maine (where we live) made it an obvious choice.I would definitely recommend this mill, and for gift-giving (housewarming, newly independent friends or family, newlyweds, etc)Looks great and grinds perfectly!Me gustó que la pimienta sale molida muy fina, se gira fácilmente más creo que debí comprar uno más alto simplemente para poder tener más pimienta ?
