Love these for personal use. A bit difficult to grind and not to be shared if someone is not feeling well. Otherwise, they look cool and do work.makes salt and pepper! We used ours for a while, but the acrylic bit broke. It's a huge bummer that I can't seem to find a replacement acrylic bit because the rest of it works fine and I don't need two new ones. I don't even need a new one at all.Very neat dispenser for salt & pepperSaw this product at a friend's house. Best ever. Salt and pepper comes out so thin, so easy to use and cero messed. It have not been a month, but I hope it will last me a long time since is not too cheap. We love this set. We have been using a similar set from crate and barel that we were given as a wedding gift 12 years ago. That one has taken a lot of abuse over the years from our boys and one finally cracked. I found this set to replace it and compared side by side. They are extremely similar to our old set— definitely just as sturdy. I love the sleek design. Feels great in my hand and makes that wonderful fine salt powder that’s perfect for adding extra salt at the table. Highly recommend.Beautiful set, and liked that it includes salt and pepper to get you started. A bit smaller than expected: bought them for kitchen industrial use and they are more palm sized...maybe a bit pricey for just S/P tableware? But overall, very stylish for a modern dining table. Nice packaging and very giftable!Six years almost to the day I've had this salt and pepper set. Today was the first real problem with it - the plastic view cylinder broke. I'm trying to glue it back together, but it's the only reason I can't provide this set with 5 stars. I don't consider the broken view cylinder as a manufacturing defect, especially after six years. However, it has shown to me the weak point in the set. I hope I'm able to fix the plastic but I've also decided to purchase the Buckland version which is solid steel without the plastic view cylinder.I've been very pleased with the set. The grinders do their job without problem and the springs have had no issue. You have to be a bit careful in the salt you choose - if the chunks are too big the grinder can't handle it. You're fine choosing normal grinder refill, but rock salt won't work unless you pre-grind it.Refilling is pretty simple - just unscrew the bottom and pour in the salt or peppercorns. If you're a hearty user of salt I recommend finding a plastic funnel that you can cut to fit the grinder (to avoid spills when you're doing the frequent refills).I recommend this product but I suspect I'll be more happy in the long term with the Buckland solid steel version.Looking nice and smart and easy use just thump pump and ground stainless steel and easy reful pepper and salt greatI like the look of these and the quality so far seems adequate. My only complaint is the mechanisms for grinding the salt and pepper are quite stiff so it takes more work than I expected to use them. Definetely ok for the dinner table but not when you're preparing food and want to quickly add salt and pepper. It takes too long to get the amount of S&P needed for most recipes. These work great and are very well constructed. One handed operation.
