If your after one of those sauces that promise to scorch you from one end of your digestive tract to the other, look elsewhere. If you want an excellent Belizean habanero sauce that has serious flavor, this is it. This sauce can get pretty hot if you lay it on thick but the best part is that the flavor always stays above the heat. I discovered this on a Belize trip over 25 years ago and it's been my go to ever since. Perfect for amateurs and experts alike since the heat can be easily controlled.A lot of the habanero/carrot blended hot sauces don't really work for me, but I find this one to be delicious. I would say it tastes like spicy vegetable soup. Good on potatoes, chicken, and other savory foods. The best hot sauce anywhere. No junky ingredients like oils or anything!Visited the factory in Belize. Marie keeps the manufacturing mostly non automated to keep more people employed. Marie Sharps is our favorite. This unique, transformative hot sauce originates from the Mayan mountains in Belize (see: not Mexico), and is built on the distinct and specific heat of the red habanero pepper. But it's the fascinating incorporation of blended carrots that delivers a wonderfully textural smoothing element; a surprise creaminess unachievable with peppers and vinegar alone. The red habanero and carrots also instill Marie Sharp's Fiery Hot with its tropical, warm weather color; one which adds a terrific splash of visual excitement to most any dish.As versatile and rustic as it is unmistakable, I just think this is the best hot pepper sauce there is, and an elite value at this low price. - (Was this review of use? If so, let me know by clicking "Helpful." Cheers!)This hot sauce is amazing. We replaced all our other hot sauces for this one. Amazing flavor and spice. We first discovered this on our trip to Belize 4 years ago. It’s on like every table there. I love spicy hot foods but most bottled sauces taste like vinegar or smoke- but this has an actual delicious flavor and great heat! We brought home 6 bottles, and used it up pretty quickly. Thank goodness we can get it on Amazon! We mostly use this on eggs, but I’ve started using it in rice (or quinoa) & vegetable bowls as well. This is an excellent habanero pepper sauce. However, its too expensive on Amazon. This sauce is so overrated. I've always looked at reviews and seen how many people rave on about this sauce. I absolutely love chilli sauces and have tried so many over the years, so I thought I'd give this one a go. And I was thoroughly disappointed upon trying it today. The chilli heat is reasonable, so that's the only positive I can give it. The flavour, on the other hand, wasn't so positive. For me it tasted a little salty and there wasn't a much to rave on about. I like some punchy flavours to go along with the heat, this one lacks that. Also a cheaper supermarket brand like Encona destroys this sauce in overall experience. So sadly, this sauce will find a new place in my bin very soon.I first found this sauce when I was working in Belize many moons ago. It took over 2 decades until I finally found it was being imported to the UK. The base of the sauce is carrot juice but don't let that fool you - It's a refined & tasty hot sauce. Not one of those "bottom burners" that many frat-boys seem to like just because they cause you harm when eaten, oh no... This is a finely balanced sauce that's come from a proud Belizean family company. If that sounds like a sales pitch, then I guess it is but that's how much I grew to value the flavour it gives. They do a range of sauces, many now available in UK but whether you're into getting a real tingle on your tongue, or merely fancy something to lightly spice up your morning omelette - then this is going to be a pleasant surprise for you, believe me - I'm going to make an omelette in a moment as writing this review has got my taste buds going - Hope you all like it too.My family do not like hot, spicy foods, so we tend to make VERY mild curries. I add this to my bowl afterwards, to make it hot just for me. It’s a really pleasant level of heat without any overpowering flavours. A very quick and easy way to get your “heat” fix, without spoiling the dish. Very highly recommended.Might contain narcotics because it's sooo addictive. I tried to buy some Encona but it wasn't the same. Marie Sharp has officially ruined hot sauce for me, because none of them come close. Her sweet and sour, and the green one, are great too.One of my favourite hot sauces. it's got a decent kick, maybe two thirds of the way to a trinidad scorpion sauce. But it's the flavour that stands out here. Fresh, a little fruity but not too acidic despite the vinegar and lime combo in here. Due to the lower amount of garlic and lack of smoked ingredients, it's very versatile and won't overpower your food. Highly recommended. For comparison, nearest neighbour is Encona's Hot Pepper variety. If you like that, you'll probably like this. If the price gap wasn't so big, Marie Sharp's would be my mainstay rather than a treat.
